Assistant/Associate Professor of Hospitality and Tourism Management

The School of Business at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey invites applications for a full-time tenure track assistant or associate professor of hospitality and tourism management studies beginning September 1, 2011. An earned doctorate in hospitality and tourism management or a related discipline is required (candidates nearing completion of the Ph.D. will be considered). Hospitality industry management experience in lodging and or hospitality services is strongly desired. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to quality research, teaching excellence, and service to the college and community.
The position involves teaching hospitality and tourism management courses at the undergraduate and MBA levels such as hotel operations, foodservice and restaurant management; facilities management and event management. All Stockton faculty members also teach in the general studies program. Other requirements include providing college service, maintaining liaisons with appropriate professional groups and industry partners and establishing an active research program involving publishing in hospitality and tourism and related area journals.
Stockton recently acquired the historic Seaview Resort, a 300 acre resort including two world renowned golf courses, located 5 miles from the main campus means the HTMS program is poised to expand. The world- class Seaview Stockton resort hotel will serving as a “living learning lab” for students in the HTMS program. Applicants will help with Stockton’s hospitality and tourism program development as we fulfill and expand Stockton’s educational mission while helping the community and its economy.
