Major Job Duties:
- Develops and implements academic policies and processes related to registration, records, and enrollment planning.
- Provides oversight for the accuracy and security of academic records.
- Develops effective processes and coordination for classroom and course scheduling.
- Responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the SunGard Banner student information system and the Image Now imaging system as they pertain to Registrar related activities.
- Provide oversight and guidance to the campus community regarding FERPA compliance and identify management.
- Serves as advisor or a member of various University committees such as University Space Allocation Committee, Enrollment Forecasting, Web Governance and the Critical Incident Response Planning Committee.
- Works with the Vice Provost for Strategic Enrollment Management to support and promote University retention efforts.
- Works with campus community to provide records and registration information.
- Oversees a staff of about 20 individuals.
- The registrar may evaluate student-athlete and NCAA compliance issues with athletic department personnel. The registrar will also work closely with deans, chairs and directors of advising to facilitate enrollment and retention plans, programs or services and other related initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree and at least five years experience in academic administration at a large public university.
- In-depth understanding of registration systems and specific experience in SunGard SCT Banner products.
- Demonstrated leadership, understanding of integrated services, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and analyze a wide range of data.
- Ability to think creatively and function effectively during periods of intensive activity.
- Supervisory skills.
