Recruitment Manager, Human Resource Services

The Recruitment Manager is responsible for administering the recruitment and selection process for all faculty, staff, and professional positions including deans, directors and coaches; guides hiring authorities through the process; provides direction/advice regarding the proper and most effective sourcing, interviewing and selection tools; ensures compliance with relevant hiring policies, State and Federal laws, and collective bargaining agreements; works closely with the EEO/AA Director to ensure that all Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity guidelines are followed; assists potential applicants in navigating the recruitment process; provides appropriate campus trainings; creates vacancy announcements and advertisements for various publications and websites; compiles, analyzes, reviews and reports recruitment and retention data and makes recommendations as may be necessary; and will supervise support staff which includes a Recruitment Specialist and student employees.
Reporting relationship: reports directly to the AVP of HR with dotted line relationship to the Provost's Office and EEO/AA Director
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and prior experience administering recruitment programs or significant experience working in HR, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of, experience in, and ability to comply with hiring practices and procedures
Knowledge of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity guidelines, principles and practices
Knowledge of and experience with training and supervisory practices and procedures
Demonstrated professional communication skills with the ability to explain guidelines and hiring practices to faculty, staff, administrative officers and the general public
Organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills and ability to meet deadlines while providing attention to detail
Public relations and interpersonal skills, including ability to work with a diverse group of individuals and create and maintain effective relationships with the campus community and the general public
Written communication skills; business English, grammar and composition
Demonstrated skill in the operation of personal computers and related software (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to design and present workshops and presentations
Ability to research, analyze data and provide appropriate reports
Ability to problem solve, exercise sound judgment and maintain a professional, personable demeanor
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
Previous HR experience in Higher Education

The Office of Human Resource Services provides services to over 1100 staff and 600 faculty and administers 9 collective bargaining agreements. There are 22 regular and 4 student employees in Human Resource Services.
