Assistant Professor of History

The Department of History at Rhodes College invites applications for a one-year Assistant Professor position specializing in Atlantic World history in the early modern period (1500-1800) to begin August 2011. The successful candidate will teach six courses including a course on the Atlantic slave trade as well as introductory and upper-level courses in his or her area of expertise. Additional fields may include the history of sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, or Europe.
