Midlands Technical College English Department seeking two Full-Time Faculty colleagues!
Midlands Technical College is a two-year college located in beautiful Columbia, SC. MTC's English Department currently has two full-time faculty instructor openings. New hires would begin in Fall 2011.

Full-time English faculty instructors teach six sections per semester with maximum enrollments of 22 per first-year composition section and 25 per literature survey section. Faculty also develop curriculum, advise students, serve on college and/or department committees, and engage in professional development for which travel funding is available on an annual basis through foundation funding. MTC offers courses at multiple campus and off-campus sites, including high schools.
An online learning management system and up-to-date classroom multimedia enhance teaching and learning for all courses.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in English. Master’s degree or doctorate in English or Composition and Rhetoric strongly preferred. Demonstrated interest and expertise in teaching English courses in college environment, including composition and literature, to diverse college student populations highly preferred. Demonstrated interest in college writing program development also preferred.
