Southwestern Community College (SWCC) is a comprehensive community college located in beautiful southwest Iowa. SWCC students receive solid foundations in liberal arts, and credits transfer easily to four-year institutions. Career and technical education programs are offered in a number of occupational and career education fields for students choosing to complete hands-on education and go directly into the workforce.
Individual will be responsible for teaching Composition I, Composition II, and other courses in writing and literature. Instructional delivery may be a combination of face-to-face, hybrid and on-line classes. Qualifications include a masters degree in English or a masters degree in a related field with a minimum of 12 graduate credits in English required. Previous teaching experience desired.
This is full-time instructional contract, 167-day (9-month), beginning August 2011. Base salary is $31,500 or greater depending on educational background and experience; complete benefit package included. Application deadline is May 31st.
