Georgia College & State University is seeking applicants for a one year instructor/assistant professor faculty position in the Department of Mass Communication. This ten-month appointment begins August 1, 2011. Primary teaching responsibilities will include teaching advertising courses. Ability to teach design, research, and/or public relations courses is a plus.
The search for the tenure track assistant professor for this position will be conducted in Fall 2011. Temporary hire will be eligible for application.
The Department of Mass Communication at Georgia College includes advertising, print, public relations, and broadcasting and electronic media. The department has over 300 majors and oversees a PRSSA chapter, an award-winning student newspaper, a student-operated radio station, and a weekly cable news program.
