The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of French. PhD required at the time of appointment (July 1, 2011). Position is renewable for a second year pending performance review. Candidates should have a record of successful teaching in French language and literature. Although the field of specialization is open, the successful candidate will have considerable training as a generalist and will be able to teach survey courses and undergraduate seminars in literature, as well as intermediate and advanced language classes.
