Letters to the editor

Inside Higher Ed welcomes readers’ letters and commentary. In fact, on most news, views and careers stories you can submit comments directly from the story page, where they are added for all to see, similar to the way blogs and discussion forums often work.

You can also submit comments that will appear on this page as “letters to the editor.” We invite you to write us on any higher education topic, whether or not we’ve covered it directly, or on general topics related to this site or to our coverage. Submit letters to the editor by e-mail to editor@insidehighered.com, attention “letters to the editor,” and include your name, title and institution, as well as a phone number for verification purposes.

The editors will consider unsigned letters for publication; however, you must still provide your name and phone number for verification.
