The Chicago School of Professional Psychology invites applications for the position of Vice President of Academic Affairs to join our Los Angeles Campus. The Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) shall serve as the Chief Academic Officer for The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP). Reporting directly to the TCSPP President, the VPAA will serve as the affiliate’s Chief Academic Officer and its voice and image of the academic enterprise. He or she must be well informed of national academic trends and best practices in graduate education in general and graduate professional education in particular. At the same time, the VPAA must be knowledgeable of the mission of discipline-focused, entrepreneurial and innovative institutions such as TCSPP and capable of structuring academic administration policies and procedures to fit this mission. The VPAA shall have principal responsibility for providing leadership and coordination in working with the Deans of Academic Affairs of the several campuses and online programs and with the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs for TCS Education System (TCS ES) in assuring the maintenance of a high level of academic quality for all academic programs. In pursuing this objective, the VPAA, working with the aforementioned parties and the TCSPP President, shall put into place policies and systems that will assure that best practices in graduate and psychology education characterize each degree program. The VPAA will embody the following qualities:
• Excellent communication skills to inspire and lead DAAs, faculty, chairs, etc.
• Effective in advocating internally and externally on academic matters.
• Proven record of academic accomplishment within his or her own discipline and have an established reputation as an academic leader.
